Fireworks safety is our highest priority.

You can rest assured that all of our fireworks are rigorously tested to ensure they are as safe as possible. Before our product is shipped to us, they are tested by independent testing laboratories to ensure they meet all U.S. Government regulations.

All Consumer Fireworks in the United States are strictly controlled by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and the Department of Transportation (DOT). In addition, some state and local codes further regulate the safety of fireworks.

Fireworks Safety Tips

Keep your guests and yourself safe. Follow these important fireworks safety tips:

  • Use common sense.
  • Only buy legal consumer fireworks from a licensed store, tent, or stand. Buy fireworks that typically have brightly colored labels with the manufacturer’s name, directions, and warnings.
  • When lighting any firework, make sure your head is not over the item. As soon as the item is lit, move away quickly to a safe distance.
  • Do not use alcohol with fireworks.
  • Use fireworks only outside, never indoors.
  • Children should not handle fireworks, even sparklers.
  • Use in a clear, open area away from the audience.
  • Use fireworks on a hard, flat surface. In grassy areas, use a sturdy piece of plywood.
  • Always wear safety glasses for lighting fireworks.
  • Have a working water hose, bucket of water, or fire extinguisher ready.
  • Never hold a lighted firework in your hand.
  • Use a bucket of sand or pipe in the ground to safely shoot your Roman Candles.
  • To shoot rockets, stick a pipe into the ground (pointing straight up) and drop the rocket into the pipe.
  • Never use fireworks as weapons. Never aim, point, or throw any fireworks at another person or property.
  • Do not re-light malfunctioning or “dud” items. Let it stand for 5 minutes, then douse it with water.
  • Never store spent fireworks indoors or in a vehicle.
  • When finished, allow used fireworks to stand for at least 20 minutes, submerge in water, drain, place in a plastic bag, and dispose outside in a covered trash can.

Safety Tips for Reloadable (Mortar) Fireworks

  • Never use a wet or damaged shell or launch tubes.
  • Insert shell all the way into the bottom of the tube, flat end down, arrow pointing up.
  • Never force a shell into a launch tube.
  • Use only one shell at a time.
  • Never, ever ignite a shell outside of a launch tube.
  • Never take a shell apart.
  • Never relight a fuse that fails to ignite the device.
  • Never, never, ever light and point a reloadable at another person or property.
  • Always shoot shells out of the tube that came in the original package with the shells.
  • Never hold the launch tube while it is firing, always place on a hard, flat surface.
